Lexi woke up floating in the void. Everything around her felt... small. Way too small.

She stretched—and whole star systems moved with her. Blinking, she looked down. Below her paws, the galaxy spun like a shiny top. She tilted her head.

"Wait... did I grow again?"

Planets and stars clung to her fingers like dust. Lexi giggled, tail wagging behind her."Aww~ you’re so tiny now... I could eat you up! But I won’t... not yet~"

Curling her legs up, she plopped down in the empty black, the universe now resting softly in her lap. She gave it a gentle squeeze. Whole solar systems shifted like glitter in a shaken jar. She let out a happy sigh.

"You all fit so nice and snug right here~" she said, pressing the galaxy to her cheek like a plushie. "So warm... so squishy..."

Her massive tail wrapped around everything, swishing lazily, brushing across space like a blanket. Planets tumbled like toys, some sticking in her fluff. She hummed, and stars flickered in time with her voice.

"I could just keep you forever," she whispered. "Just mine. Always right here. Close enough to nuzzle, close enough to squish..."

She slowly lay back, pulling the galaxy to her chest. Her breathing made comets drift. Her heartbeat pulsed across the sky.

"Shhh... It’s okay now. I’ve got you."

And there she stayed—huge, warm, and happy—holding the entire galaxy in her arms like it was the most precious thing in the universe.

Because to her, it was.
