Walking from the ferry dock to the main thoroughfare of Rockside one can see the few buildings that make up what the locals would probably consider the downtown. The places to go are limited and the lack of signage and streetlights make it seem like night isn't the most active time for business around here. If anything, the area around the ferry dock was more built up.

On the right side of the street is a diner, a general store, and a store that looks to specialize in mostly fishing supplies. On the left is what appears to be a mechanic’s garage with gas station and a very old church building. I can only imagine the preacher wasn’t happy when the gas station was put so close.

Way at the far end of the main road we hit a three way intersection and nestled right at turn is what I believe is the town hall. According to the island’s website, while the main floor is used for gatherings, the second floor is where the Forest Rangers have their offices and the basement is the Sheriff’s annex. The annex is just a place for the deputy to stay in case of a call but it also holds two drunk tanks. I plan on visiting to see if I can get access to some of the older files that might be there on which ever cases are considered done.

Maybe I could get some insight on the more recent missing cases as well. Not likely but one can hope. Only till next time dear listener.
