back in 2022 i watched the area 88 anime for some reason --despite not being terribly interested in the subject matter; it might have been the last anime available on hbo or netflix that i hadn't seen and wasn't hideous recent garbage -- and then tried to draw a narthex based on this screen, but kept screwing it up, and then tried to fix it again in 2023 and still couldn't make it work, then today tried yet again despite having numerous other things to do and also checked the screenshot again for the first time perhaps since taking it and this is so far off from that now it almost doesn't matter what i do with it

Based on anything or not it's still one of the best images of yours
I've seen especially since it's much more serious in feeling that others.
Also like the angle you chose and the design of the uniform. Pretty much everything
about this is 100 / 10 in my book. I especially like how the pinecone cloud. I think I've actually
seen that in the sky but for the life of me I can't remember where or when. :)

Thank you for appreciating the image! drawing from a reference often ends up more difficult than I expect it to be unless i simply copy EVERYthing, and there is no need to exhibit such work. I chose the angle based on seeing it in the cartoon, but i do not recall it giving me a range to select from. the level of "serious" might also come from there but the picture is still rather silly, I think!
