Ryan
Details
Full Name: Ryan Jackson
Age: 27
Pronouns: He/Him
Height: 5’4”
Job Status: Unemployed
Relationship Status: Boyfriend to Jonah
Profile
There is little sense in the world, which is why one locks themselves within their own mind. A philosophy on life – perhaps flawed, perhaps wise – but one that Ryan dedicates himself to. A complete shut-in given half the chance, he nonetheless finds honest communication and purpose through online contacts, games, forums and the wondrous subspace provided by his new divine companion. Oh yes, the ways you can understand yourself, your friends; the whole world even, through the threads that bind us all.
So easily lost in his own mind, Ryan often finds himself disconnecting from the world around him. He dissociates easily, forgetting to eat, sleep, tend to himself, and can either spend days doing very little or several hours in a manic haze, pushing himself into utter exhaustion. Either way, it’s a distraction, as he’d much rather not look deep into himself and his own situation, and the crippling shame and dead self-worth that comes with that.
There are things in his life he cares deeply about – his mother, and Jonah – and he holds them tightly, desperate to stay grounded for their sakes. Or perhaps for his own sake. If he were to let go, how far would he end up drifting? His body’s owned by another now after all, and Ryan’s very wary how lost he may get in the Prince’s realm. Or more worryingly, how much he might actually want that to happen.

Criech
Details
Names: Brackenprince, Will Weaver, The Prince
Pronunciation: CREEK
Pronouns: He/Him
Height: 8’4”
Attributes: Life, Light, Mind, Space, Earth, Discovery, Nature
Emblems: Wood, leaves, natural fibre, cloth, lights
Profile
Of all the young gods, there was one the others would always defer to. A child of the allseers, the centre of the world. The Prince never questioned his role, nor felt inadequate or ill-prepared. At least, in the early days. But the old gods perished as was their fate, and the new world and new people didn’t recognise him, or any of their new deities. Ultimately, Criech made the decision for them to slumber, and return once called, whenever that would be. And having awoken again, he’s more alone than ever.
Criech is an opportunist, taking advantage of everything and everybody he can to achieve the best outcome for all. Incredibly intelligent, tech-smart and with a knack of haggling what he wants, he has all the power he could want in a hyper-connected and hyper-social world.
His one hold-up is while he is willing and able to lead, at a gut level he doesn’t feel he has the right to, particularly when his plans will involve and implicate such a vast number of people. He constantly defers, asks for advice or complicity from the other gods, and from their chosen vessels; after all, it is their world more than it will ever be his. Ryan’s outlook he values in particular, even though the man defers all control and decision making to him. All Criech can do is work with what he has, and work to his best estimates. His hand is the one that guides the new world, and it is his responsibility alone to make sure it’s guided to the best outcome. He only hopes he’s going the right way.
Idol
Criech doesn’t come to you; you go and find him, entering his palace using the right key and the right mindset, wherein you may barter, beg or bargain for his attention or favour; though of course, he’s often already aware of your purpose for visiting, wide as his network is. There are many ways and many facets with which you can enter, so long as you follow his existing creed.
“For the mind, a perfect sign
For the eye, a light must shine
For the earth, alive once more
The Prince awaits beyond that door”
