Jonah
Details
Full Name: Jonah Thomas Jr.
Age: 26
Pronouns: He/Him
Height: 6’3”
Job Status: Postgraduate NatSci Student
Relationship Status: Boyfriend to Ryan
Profile
One would imagine, at a first glance of Jonah, that he’s a man who has the world at his feet. Studying for a doctorate at a prestigious university, his own place, fine prospects and a stable relationship. Calm, collected, smart and savvy; in all respects, a man who has his shit together. That’s at a first glance. That’s very much the look he tries to cultivate, so long as nobody pries too deeply and discovers just how tall the house of cards is that all of it is balanced on. There are a myriad different ways that panic can manifest, and Jonah manages to cultivate a brand new platter of them every day.
It’s not to say that he isn’t able to function; he’s performing incredibly well according to the people around him, even if he has to scrape every ounce of himself in order to maintain it. As such if pushed too far he can be very snappy, irritable and wild in gesture and ambition, and bouncing off different actions and ideas at a frantic pace. He often tries to keep himself busy with his hands, if only to try and focus on one thing at a time, and do something – anything – to block out the noise.
There are very few he feels he can be entirely relaxed around. Or...well, not relaxed, but at least non-judged. Ryan’s presence gives him peace of mind, though he does find himself worrying about the other man’s seeming ambivalence to life. Daiyde he can be honest around as well, though again, relaxed? Uuuuh...given the two have largely polar opposite outlooks, it’s fair to say their life together can be a tad...fractious. But if nothing else, it’s one more person Jonah can be himself around, and if it helps to damp out the noise even a little, then that can’t be a totally bad thing.

Names: Echofoot, Mist Whisper, Dai
Pronunciation: DYE-dah
Pronouns: They/Them
Height: 7’0”
Attributes: Survival, Sound, Darkness, Wind, Senses, Fear, Self
Emblems: Iron, bronze, music, glass, shadows
Profile
Perhaps more vital than any of the fundamental forces that drive us is the base need to survive. Or rather, to thrive. Daiyde always understood this, locked in with their five companions and living in a state of utter terror. Death, the hunter, the human, the unknown. It moulded them and compressed them, leaving them shapeless and formless; mere sounds on the wind, impossible to worship. And then, inexplicably, they had a chance to stop. To sleep, to rest, and to wonder if they could be more.
Is it any wonder that their waking existence has led them to pursue any and every manner of experience possible to find? A life of consumerism and hedonism, of sight, sound and sensation, every outfit, every snack and every person in the world. They take every opportunity to drift, overcoming their inherent anxieties and hang-ups to expand their place in this brave new world...and frequently and often dragging a hapless Jonah by the heels behind them.
It’s a joy for them to have found their calling amidst the chaotic world, but amongst all the young gods they have always been the one with the least on their shoulders. As the day of decision grows closer, they find themselves dealing with new anxieties; a pressure to take a stand and lead in a way they’ve never managed before. The gods are waiting on them. Jonah and Ryan too. As much as they wish to enjoy their new life, ultimately their divinity holds them to a certain path. A path that requires a herald to call it forth, and a minstrel to tell its tale. No matter how they may wish to, they can’t hide away from it forever.
Idol
One doesn’t summon Daiyde. Indeed, how can you summon someone so intangible, so ephemeral, so tied to the shadows and the wind and so fearful of life?
However, their presence is eternal, and everywhere. Layers of music through the air, through light, across aeons and in the tiniest moment. Anyone and everyone can encounter them, but only away from prying eyes. Their presence may be passed on only through story and anecdote, and their blessings only visible after the fact.
And if you listen, and open your soul to the world, maybe you will be one of the lucky few who can catch their song on the wind. Every tone, every melody, every chord and every texture. Whispering and screaming, humming and bellowing. Touching your very core, and bringing out your own inner self to the surface. If you’re lucky and blessed, maybe one day you will experience Daiyde’s concerto. And you won’t even realise they were there.
