All sorts of medieval/early renaissance publications mused on the existence of beastmen, like the cynocephali or blemmies, and pondered whether God gave them souls or not. Just as these conversations spread about the scholastic world, masters of combat drafted guides, like the Harliean Manuscript or Joachim Meyer's treatises, to teach their readers on swordplay.
So, I had a funny thought. Has any "sword master" ever wrote some hoo-hah on battling it out with the mythological creatures of old? This is the product of such a thought.
I experimented with colored pencils against a Kuretake No. 45 hard brush pen, and I made the unfortunate discovery that the brush pen's ink cannot be erased over. Smeared the absolute crap out of it with my eraser, and it really screwed with the colored pencils' pigments...oh well! Lessons for the future.
