Fall 18, Year 2

Thanks to Camilla attacking Beep a little over two weeks ago, her spreading news of what she saw, and Lance connecting the dots to the peryton he saw at the Dwarf Forge in late spring, a lot more people knew about Beep's true species than Marlon and Magnus were intending. Now, the guild leaders of The First Slash Clan wanted to meet Beep.

When Lance first informed Beep, he didn't give a deadline. Just meet him at Ginger Island when he was ready. The guild was already aware of the negative relationship formed due to Camilla's repeated actions, and didn't want to make things any more tense. Marlon seemed to trust Lance, so Beep decided to take a chance.

After finishing his special tea, Beep took the ferry from Pelican Town to Ginger Island. From there, Lance brought Beep to hidden warp pad that he used to get from the First Slash headquarters to Ginger Island. He noticed Beep's uncertainty with entering the warp pad, despite seeing the peryton use the ones around Pelican Town, so he entered first as a show of good faith. A few seconds later, Beep arrived at the headquarters after him.

The wind was warm. The breeze was strong. Beep opened his wings, feeling the way his feathers shifted and his heart ached for the sky. His hooves drummed against the packed sand and stone, and then he was off. Several First Slash members on the island had seen Beep arrive with Lance, but were still shocked as the peryton took to the air. Higher and higher he flew, while never straying far from the island.

Occasionally he'd look down and see Lance talking with someone, but he paid it no mind. Regrettably, his flight was cut short as his endurance wasn't as good as it used to be. (It was kinda shit to begin with, but that was neither here nor there...) Once he was back on the ground, Lance introduced him to the leader of the First Slash, Jolyne. She was surprised to meet the sapient monster, but as Marlon had explained to her when they met for the bimonthly venture into the Pelican Town mines, he was perfectly peaceful unless threatened, as Camilla had seen. So, she took special note of Beep's appearance, his demeanour, and added that to the file for Pelican Town. That way, anyone going on missions to Pelican Town would know to leave him alone. She also thanked him for helping map out the more dangerous levels of the Mine, since that had been a huge help for their monster eradication goals.

With the meeting concluded, and a few of the First Slash members asking Beep if they could pet him, all in all it went very well. Lance saw how Beep eyed the various unique items that had washed up on the shore and lived in the tide pools, so he let Beep know there was a warp pad here in Magnus's tower, and he was welcome to come here any time he liked. It would probably help too, so anyone who didn't frequent Pelican Town could still get to meet him.

Beep took a single golden ocean flower in his mouth and warped back home. It was a good day.

The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
