The prompt for this week's Thursday_Prompt was to pick a moment in history and describe the scene there. It's a little different than the usual, so I decided to do something a little different. While I enjoy the free-flowing nature of prose, it's also fun to play with the more rigid structures of poetry. My inspiration for this scene is the last moments before English invasion quashed the culture of the people of Wales. While it may not read specifically as such, I felt that laying it on thick with all of that is contrary to the nature of poetry.
