Coffee Bean smiled as he glided effortlessly back and forth behind the bar in his little coffee shop in Manehattan. His tan fur practically gleamed in the specially chosen mood lighting and his brunette mane flowed over the back of his neck. He effortlessly took order after order, preparing them with the skill of a practiced expert and delivered them to his happy customers. He was incredibly happy doing what he does best.
However, the number of customers trickling in began to slow when the afternoon rush would normally start. Within about thirty minutes the last pony relaxing in his shop had made their way outside, leaving him confused as to why no new customers were coming in. He was just about to peek outside when he felt it.
A low rumble traveled through the ground, making the floor vibrate under his hooves. Was it an earthquake? It stopped and then immediately another happened, his hanging mugs clinking against each other as a stack of disposable cups toppled to the floor behind the bar. Just one rumble after another shook the shop, each one more intense than the last! He knew he should be getting into a safe spot, but he just had to see what was going on. He could hear shouts and even screams coming from the distance as he peeked through his front window.
At first, he didn't see anything, then above the buildings he saw what looked like a sharp, pixie cut blonde mane and two towering mint green pony ears. That was impossible, he thought, staring upwards in awe. It had to be some kind of parade balloon or something.
Then he felt the rumble again as the giant pony stepped around the corner of the building, bringing one huge hoof crashing down on a market cart, reducing it to splinters instantly. She let out an ear splitting roar, sending ponies screaming and scrambling in all directions. Hefting another cart in her hoof, she hurled it right into the side of a building, shattering windows and sending rubble raining down into the streets. She rushed into the small town square, tiny ponies narrowly dodging being crushed beneath her hooves.
Coffee Bean slowly started walking towards the giant mare as others fled in fear. He could see flashes of magical light in many colors striking harmlessly against her fur as a few of the local soldiers took up position to try to stop her rampage. In her anger, she lashed out with a fore hoof, missing one of them by mere inches, creating a deep crater in the pavement. She raised the deadly hoof again,a bout to bring it down for a final blow when she detected movement in the corner of her eye. Snarling, she reared up on her hind legs, absolutely towering over everything, lashing out at the air as she was about to come crashing down on the offending pony. She stopped, blinking as she lowered herself back down with a slightly quieter boom.
Looking curiously at he pony, she tilted her head to the side. While all of the others were fighting or fleeing, this little brown stallion was walking towards her, just staring upwards. She made a confused grunt before lowering her head down to street level, wanting to get a closer look at this curious creature. She narrowed her eyes, giving a low warning growl.
Coffee had been staring up at the giantess for a while now. His heart thundered in his chest as he stared up at her. She was beautiful. He had dreamed of a moment like this as he watched movie after movie starring giant monsters and mares rampaging through the cities, causing wanton destruction. He never in a million moons dreamed he would see it for himself. His steps never faltered as she reared up, and he only stopped walking towards her when her huge, lovely face lowered down before him and he heard her warning growl. Only, he didn't hear a growl, he heard a voice like that of the angels in his mind, asking him to stop where he was.
She let out a few growls and snarls at him, narrowing her eyes. He heard something completely different yet again.
“I'm Coffee Bean. I.. I just had to come out to see if you were real or not. This.. This is like a dream come true for me!”
The monstrous mare blinked, tilting her head like she could understand him, but was still confused. Sliding her muzzle closer, she gave him a sniff so hard he stuck sideways to the front of her nose for a moment. He laughed and squirmed, causing the giantess' ears to perk up, smiling a little at the sound.
She slowly stood back up and wrapped a fore hoof around him, lifting him high into the air. He gasped for a moment, the air driven from his lungs as he rapidly ascended to her head height. Her eyes focused on her tiny discovery, smiling and even giving him a gentle kiss, pressing her warm lips to his entire body.
Coffee flushed a deep red under his fur. He blushed and squirmed a little as he touched the soft velvet of her nose. She growled and chirped softly at him as she lashed out with a rear hoof, slamming it into the base of a nearby building, collapsing it in a matter of seconds.
The little tan pony just grinned and nodded at her, “I would love to join you while you have your fun!”
She lifted him up on top of her head, making a soft rumbling noise as he nestled down safely into her mane as she set off through the city once more. Building were toppled, carts were smashed and soldiers were chased out of town, all while Coffee relaxed, stroking the surprisingly soft fur on the back of one of her truly titanic ears as he had a front row seat to his very own Monster Mare-a-thon!
