Fall 4, Year 2

Marlon had sent a letter to Beep to come to the Adventuring Guild. Beep had taken the long way there to calm building anxiety. He had never postured towards anyone aggressively (aside from when Camilla attacked him) so he was terrified he had been deemed a threat and this was a trap to get rid of him. Curse his mind instantly jumping to the worse case scenario!

Marlon, Magnus, Lance, and Camilla were at the Guild Hall, which caused Beep to rise on edge. As it turns out, Marlon and Magnus weren't happy with how Camilla has been taking matters into her own hands. She had attacked Beep even while Magnus told her to stop. Then she stole him away for some test, outside of Magnus's reach (or interference) and traumatised him so badly it destroyed the trust he had in the only people in town who knew he was a peryton. Lance was there as an unbiased party, since he had met Beep on neutral terms.

Camilla's apology was... shit. It contained excuses and deflections, all the while flaunting her power by teleporting around the room. A task that'd normally be strenuous she did so without effort. Showing off she could've done worse? It was starting to annoy Beep, especially with the flashes of light. She offered to fix the bridge on the farm as part of her apology... if Beep did all the work of collecting "spoils of various lands". Then she teleported right next to him. His hackles raised on edge in a warning, but still she reached down and plucked an antler projector from his head.

THAT WAS A GIFT.

Beep was a kind deer. Selfless, and put others before himself to a fault. But even he had boundaries. He hadn't even realised his teeth had sunk into her arm until the metallic taste caused him to gag. He let go, expecting to be reprimanded, or worse, but instead the shouting was directed at Camilla. Taking that as his cue to leave, Beep picked up the projector in his mouth and stomped out of the Guild Hall. Some people had their heads too far up their own asses to realise they didn't know everything, or their actions harmed others. At least there were people here who trusted Beep and had his back.

The taste in his mouth was making him nauseous. He'll rinse it out in the pond on the farm before he does the rest of his errands he had planned today. Thankfully nobody saw him on his way home. He didn't need even more trouble...

The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
