Hehe, this is an old commission by 
TesxaCoyote of my fursona Charlie, based on a series of theme commissions (theme: "hero") with a slight twist on the theme...it originally was the idea of a hero with no one to protect but it came out as a reluctant hero.
Charlie just wants to be normal (well as normal as possible) and isn't too much into the "hero" role. As you might guess then when he's made to take up such a role he has many doubts. Really, being nudged out in the open with danger all around isn't appealing to most and for a fox kit it isn't any different (it scares the pee outta you and you get many owwies). Sooo...there better be soomeone rooting for the kit and letting him know he has something fight for otherwise, why bother with being a hero?
