This was based off a comic done a few years back if Tformers and GI Joe was around in WWII. Unfortunately the art was by Jae Lee...a good artist, but prolly the worst they coulda got for the mini-series, I couldn't tell where figures began or ended, he loves using lots of black and the Tformers looked so brittle they'd fall apart.
Here is a US Halftrack with a quad .50 mounted on it. It is supposed to be Ironhide and in front we see Snake Eyes with a sten fun in his commando gear This is an OLD pic but wanted to just share with ya'll. ^^

Well, honestly I remember the cartoon and it kinda sucked too looking back at it, hehe. Was fun when I was a kid, seeing it now is nothing more than a commercial where they fight every week and bout it, sooo, I kinda have no expectations for the movie. I am mostly just disappointed at the actual character models, they look way too fragile, heh. Other than that, I am expecting a huge blow em up with a cheesy love story tossed in. Basically ID4 with transforming robots. ^_^

I recently watched a bit of the old Transformers and I pretty much laughed, too. The Autobots and Deceptacons (however that's spelled) were pretty much fighting over playsets like children, and pretty much every time Megatron whines like a baby saying "RETREAT!" Not to mention Megatron's plans to get Energon cubes or whatever always involved destroying the Earth for whatever reason. Just sorta humorous I guess, but good nostalgic memories coming back I suppose...
Anyway, real great drawing, real great. ^_^

Hehe, very nice. I did recognize the vehicle Ironside transformed from, quite inventive to use one like that for a transformer.
I hope the movie does not suck TOO bad. ITs going to suck at least a bit considering the way it looks and how they are planning to focus on the people and make the transformers themselves take a 'background' role. /.\

Hmmm.. WWII Japanese Ninja fighting for the US? Hmmm.. me thinks that wouldn't last too long. *L*
I was just looking over some of the artwork from that "alternate" mini-series. I never followed the comics (which were different story-wise from the show back in the 80's)... but I do like the concept stuff. :D

I remember that series. Way to much ink. I had never thought of Transformers into WWII stuff. That idea was pretty cool but the artwork did turn me off after the second book. This is a good shot of Ironhide and Starscream in the other one. I'd have probably gotten the whole series if they had looked this good.
