Amy Bloomberg (left) and Zoey Evans (right) are both second-year students of the Kilima boarding school and inseparable.Due to their reserved nature, they are usually given little attention. But that changes completely after they manage to obtain valuable information about the stranding of their school in the world of Nyika. As a result, both are promoted to emissaries, significantly paving the way for the fate of everyone at their school.

The school's library is there favorite place to be in. Both enjoy the peace and togetherness of this place, especially Zoey, who is considered extremely shy and reserved,but also scores top marks in class. Zoey considers only a few people to be her friends, including librarian Marjory Blanc and, of course, Amy. The latter is much more open and curious about everything beyond the library. Amy likes animals and wants to become a veterinarian one day. She is fascinated by the world of Nyika. Their deep bond of friendship ensures that they always support each other, no matter what happens. Both, Zoey and Amy, are among the last students to visit the community of Ukoo, leading to a lack of experience with the elements and knowledge about the balance of Nyika. But both are quick learners and know how to support their friends — in battle and with information.

Amy has a secret crush on Jordan, but she respects his relationship with Rita. Zoey, on the other hand, has little interest in interpersonal relationships. She sees librarian Marjory Blanc as her role model and constantly seeks guidance in her life.
