But basically its Edward fighting his magic-drunk psycho persona Crazy E in his mindscape. Literally a battle in the center of the mind. While Phillip and the Ruby Dragon are the main threat in this storyline, Crazy E is a more personal threat to Edward due to its nature as chaotic human magic personafied. Ed needs this power, but he cannot allow it to turn him to something far worse than Phillip. Plus he has beef with it for hurting his friend under its influence.
