Very old Ginga OC’s from like 2016 ish, never properly drew them till now. Wanted to create some non evil bear characters in Ginga because I still hate how The Last Wars handled the topic of quote unquote “good bears”. And no, I don’t give a shit about the uwu cute pwecious bear cub Chibi, we’d be here all day if I talk about how I think his character is lazy and badly written. And I’m not even gonna start on TLW’s piss poor attempt at making Monsoon sympathetic, he’s an irredeemable psychopath and that’s final. However while I think the very few other bear characters like the GDW bear cub and Gonta from The First Wars are better examples of good bears in Ginga, they're such minor characters they hardly count to me.

Anyway usual TLW salt aside, here’s MY take on a bear OC who’s an ally of Ohu. She’s a mother bear named Yumeko who met Gin some time after Akakabuto’s defeat and saved him from some of Akakabuto’s surviving kin. In my AU Akakabuto was such a formidable force he even became a threat to other bears who didn’t want to join his army. So you can imagine Gin’s shock when Yumeko ended up thanking the Ohu army for saving her own bear friends from Akakabuto, thus opening Gin’s eyes to the concept of both good and bad bears living in Futago Pass. And henceforth in my AU Yumeko and her cubs have been the unusual bear allies of Ohu since.

Regarding Yumeko’s children Taiyo and Tsuki, in this drawing they’re pictured their age around the GDW/GDWO+ onward era. They were young cubs during the GNG era. (Taiyo is male, Tsuki is female)
