This was a great YCH that NikolaosFlamel had available awhile back, and I thought Arcalis was perfectly suited for it. This is the beautiful result! Arcalis rises from the depths in the midst of a torrential storm. He's not a malevolent sea creature - he's actually come to rescue some poor sailors trapped in the storm! Seeing Arcalis in the midst of a storm is a good omen, and not to be feared! I named this piece Sea Serpent, although Arcalis does have paws and doesn't technically fit the serpent definition... but it just seemed like the right title for the art.
Thanks, NikolaosFlamel, for your wonderful artistry on this YCH. Beautiful!

Oh my, this artist truly was a VERY nice decision - this art is just immaculate and absolutely superb
Somehow he both looks wild and a bit like a spirit of water yet beautiful like the angel from the depth
Yes his visage is a bit intimidating in the stormy and quite scary weather and all but the fact he came for the rescue is a very wholesome and kind from his part
But if the humans or other humanoid beings don't know that i can see them scared a lot. To see something of such caliber to emerge from the water in a stressful situation can lead to panic attack. Hopefully he knows what to do in such situation.
But anyway it is glorious piece for a magnificent beast. Kudos to Nikolaous for such an honest and hard work!

What I really like about this art piece are the contrasts. On the one hand, there is a raging storm - lightning flashes across the darkened skies, and ocean waves begin to swell. Then there's Arcalis in the midst of it all. While a rather sizeable and formidable looking sea creature, I get a feeling of calm and benevolence from him - literally the calm in the storm. It's a beautiful piece, and Nikolaos really did some exceptional work here.
As always, thank you for your wonderful commentary - glad you liked the art!
