Wow, haven’t seen that film in ages; Don Bluth’s first animated movie? I think so, could be wrong.
Still remember the theme song clearly; a lot of memories there!

One of his own studio's cartoons. I watched it for the first time last year, quite a nice cartoon :)

I saw it when it was fairly new, about ‘84 maybe? Another anthro movie from that time I would recommend is Peter No Tail. It is a European import from Sweden if I remember; a really great one from back in the day. Watership Downs is another one, so is Rock and Rule, if you like things on the weirder side.

i've seen the cartoon Watership Downs, heavy stuff...The movie is clearly not for everyone, plus dark themes and violent moments >-<
I haven't watched Peter no tail, but I will for the sake of interest :)
