Art of my Winds of Change anthro red-tailed hawk, Patrick Altair. Back in the early 2000s, when I first was delurking, I was writing a story featuring him in the Winds of Change story universe. It was teenage writing and it sucked and for the most part it never saw the light of day, but served as valuable experience for later writing...most of which has never seen the light of day. Weird, that.

Gonna forgo a quote in this one, too, for now. Pat's been out of my main play roster for over a decade, and I don't know I have a great handle on him anymore. He was more than partially based on me like many Winds of Change characters, except with superpowers, in his case, desolidification/phasing, degree control, and animal communication with birds of prey. But he ended up going a different direction than I did as a person in various ways, most notably in getting married.
