Todd was busy working away at a toaster in his office. While appliances and the like were more his specialty, he could do more than a passing job on most automobiles. Provided they weren't European models.
As Vera Agapov came in with yet another complaint.
The polar bear who was as nearly wide as she was tall squeezed herself in and looked down at him with what could only be described as anger in her eyes.

Todd: "Yes Vera? C-can I help yo-"

Vera: "I'll say so you fuzzy little twerp." She picked him up by the scruff of his neck "You are going to fix my van, and fix it right this time. Or so help me I'll.." as she snapped her teeth at the air inches away from his face. "Got it mutt?"

Todd: "Yes ma'am, understood!" As she dropped him.
Vera: "Good, now get to it before I decide to have a stupid corgi for lunch." As she wobbled out the door.
He rushed outside with his toolbox and got to work, quickly getting it fixed.
Todd: "T-there you go. N-no charge." She picked him up again and put him in her passenger's seat.
Vera: "You will be riding with me to ensure it works this time." As she buckled in and started driving away with the kidnapped corgi.

Todd: "Vera, where are you taking me?"
Vera: "Silence. I'm listening to the car." She said before glaring down at him.
Todd: "I-it's just I'm not a proper mechanic. Y-you could have taken your van to O'brien's."
Vera: "I didn't want to go to O'brien's I wanted to do business with you. And drop the fear in your voice, you sound ridiculous with that stutter."
He cleared his throat and said: "Well why do you want to do business with me? I seem to make you so angry."
She didn't answer immediately, hesitating a bit.
Vera: "Because I know you are a good man who deals honestly with people. And..."
Todd: "And?" He said cautiously.
She pulled off the side of the road, just out of town so there'd be no witnesses.
Vera: "And because... I I wanted an excuse to see you." She said in a much softer voice than she had used before.
Todd: "Oh? You wanted to see me? Is something wrong?" He asked earnestly.
Vera: "Y-yeah... I..." She was blushing bright red, not used to letting her tough persona fall to the side. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime. Like maybe grab a bite to eat or go back to my place?"
Todd: "Well Vera, I didn't know you were interested in a little fella like me."
Vera: "I have been for a while, I've just been too timid to tell you."
He raised an eyebrow: "You? Timid? The one who threatened to eat me in my shop earlier?"
Vera: "Yeah, sorry about that." As she picked him up gently and hugged him. "I wouldn't really! I've just always had issues with showing my emotions properly."
As she snuggled him into her pristine white fur, he asked: "But why a runt like me? I figured you'd want a tall fella."
Vera: "Goodness no, large men frighten me. Always have since I was a cub. You are just the perfect size for me. If you'd be interested that is..." As her beautiful blue eyes stared into his.
Todd: "Well I'd be delighted to take you out. Who knows, we might make for a cute couple if things work out."
Vera: "Just be warned, I may still show my strict side in public. I don't want people thinking I'm a pushover you know." As the two then drove off to her house. Upon arrival he called and told his employees to close up shop at the correct time without him.


What went on behind her locked doors and pulled curtains are likely best left to the reader's imagination.
