Like with the precursor vent artwork to this newer drawing, this description won't be told from Mello's perspective.

Still mentally dealing with the aftermath of certain things in my personal life, I wanted to show some emotional progress with Mello in a way that's optimistic yet still realistic, something that's also symbolically shown here with the increased light coming into his life. Much like me, Mello still has plenty of down moments, but he's making steps and connecting with friends, with this scene showing the physically lonely ferret receiving a surprise present from Leo, a supportive skunk friend who Mello's close with. As long as he keeps taking care of himself and connecting with friends, Mello will hopefully be at his best again someday, even if it takes a while.

Mello and I are also planning to move into new apartments soon, Lil' Ma'am too of course, which should help with our environments, but we'll see. Another thing that we have in common from this artwork is that we both own extremely fluffy and comfortable blue blankets, which will of course come with us.
