I decided things were going a bit long on Ally, Trevor and Claire's side of things; therefore, it felt wiser to just make their side its own chapter. Ally's either lucky or unlucky to get ANOTHER chapter after, your call on that with these demons and all.

I also recall in the actual tale of "Dreams Come True" that the rainbow crystal wasn't essentially a "chaos emerald," if you will: characters weren't using it to power themselves up, unless you count "indirectly" with the dreem soda. I understand how plot-breaking any manner of "power-up" can be, but I'll take precautions and there's still the overall idea that this crystal is supposed to help bring out your magical potential. Of course, some have more potential than others... I mean, you can imagine it'd be harder for Claire to actually turn invisible with that thing, than her simply turning into a full-fledged pup (or other kind of wolf).

As you can see, the whole main cast is getting a little more attention, rather than us just focusing on our titular Billie and Seve. Then again, you're reading this for an alternative outcome of "Dreams Come True" and the overall "Adventures in Love and Friendship" series, not to just re-read it word-for-word: "This is BaSA, just with a random wolf-girl thrown into the scenes you've already read!"... But how WILL the ol' "Butterfly Effect" play out in the end?
