While in Yosemite National Park, I saw this bird sitting on what was left of a tree... I zoomed in and was quite pleased at the trick of light. The tree and raven are in the shadow of the nearby canyon wall, while the background was in the sun.

This photograph was taken in the parkinglot overlooking Bridalvail falls just leaving one of several tunnels in the park.
