If anime conventions hold, the guard is either just stunned or, more likely, mind-controlled. Suzocon is many things, but he isn't dumb. A puppet is far more useful to him than a pile of dust, in keeping the BBEGs out of the fight.

As far as I can see, the guard attempted a full power blast, and Suzocon-sama touched him in return. That's all it takes. (See: Princess Mononoke opening).

Actually, in the last panel, the background looks like an ECG, and his heart just stopped.

It's an old anime thing according to my fiancee. They show the ECG in the background when someone's stunned or been mind-controlled. Considering how much Suzocon-sama enjoys showing off his power, I doubt he'd just stop his heart. But we'll see!

Right. But he threatened to basically blast them out of existence with some kind of uzumaki attack, not simply stop their heart. He's anything but subtle when he wants to get down to business. How he treated Roko, well... that was the type example.

We'll see soon enough what he did to the guard. Still think it's much more useful for him to make the guard into a puppet than to just stop his heart. He's not the only guard there, and they WILL be missed. But if he shows back up to Laputa, mind-controlled into saying neither Saida nor the Eyestone is anywhere to be found, it would probably avoid getting Vetra-jou and Taran-ouji into the fight. He starts killing guards, that guarantees the Quetz floating city is going to send the heaviest hitters they have.

More's the pity. BBEG fights are always spectacular. That guard was always going to get curb-stomped.

I think I need Suzocon to get killed as if he's a Final Fantasy boss. Maybe not a final boss, but a disc-one final boss like Yunalesca. Definitely too vile and powerful to be left alive.

It's more complex than that, I think? If I recall correctly, it might be that it cuts through even that. Only Zombie affected people are immune, the problem is that the player's first instinct is to cure that status since it inverts healing to damage.

He is WAY too powerful for anyone except POSSIBLY Vetra to kill. And that's a MAYBE. Simply put, again, Suzocon, even more that Darya, is a "Avoid like HELL" villain, as opposed to a "Dies at the end of the arc" villain.

He needs a specific VOLTAGE. And no, he cannot use lightning. He can pretend to, but most of a Kitsune's abilities are just that: Illusion. He can use fire, but anything else either requires a lot of magical training, or getting someone else to do it.

He didn't use lightning at all. He dodged the guard's bolt and touched him with his tail, which cursed the guard. Classic kitsune move there.

Your comics keep me in active suspense between newer page releases; both the artwork and writing in these are excellent, and I'm still extremely hooked!
