This is an idea I've had for a while, a conjoined taur of two different species, I just took a while to figure out the species. I knew I wanted a coyote as one of the species, for the second I wasn't so sure, I kept thinking about a cougar and reading up about the behaviour of cougars and how coyotes are enemies of cougars and in the areas where both species compete as predators cougars dominate coyotes so that made me settle on using a cougar as the second species.

I do have something on a backstory for the two characters but nothing too developed. I'm thinking of making the coyote a sister to my other coyote character. The cougar and coyote met each other early in life but had differences that prevented both from getting along. At some point later on the cougar suffers from a magical attack of some kind that without help could kill her. The coyote offers to help using her own talents with magic to find a way to save the cougar's life, but because of the nature of the magical attack, the magic used to save the cougar is unpredicatable. The coyote casts a spell and the result is the two are now permanently conjoined, the coyote on the left side of the body and the cougar on the right side of the body.
