One idea I wanted to explore for years and develop into a character is a femboy fox. I wanted a male fox that would be effeminate without becoming fully female. As I kept thinking about the idea I knew I wanted to give him a trait that's odd, strange and unique, something that he likes even if it's awkward or inconvenient. My mind kept going back to horse hooves. At first I thought about just making his feet hooves but then I kept thinking about making his hands and wanting to make the hands not hoof like hands but full on hooves. I kept holding off on drawing the idea because of how awkward it would be for a character to only have hooves for hands but the more I kept thinking about the character, the more I felt like he not only likes his hand hooves, he finds his hand hooves "cute" and "adorable" and feels no need or desire to replace his hooves for hands and how he feels about his hooves is far better than any negatives that come from having hooves for hands.

I also made him a three tailed kitsune, with his hooves being a kind of "magic mark" or "sign" that he was born with.
