I wish I could say peace remained among the survivors, but sadly that wasn't to be. It was noticed by some that my green eyes bore a striking resemblance to the green eclipse. Pair that with my past and the void, and then the accusations began.

I know I'm not involved or responsible for the horrors that occurred, but even I couldn't deny the resemblance. Now Dracca stood up for me, reminding everyone of my deeds, and even risked my own life to save hers, but they were beyond convincing. When people are terrified and looking for an explanation, they will latch onto anything. Hell, she was lucky to stop them from shooting me on the spot.

Dracca knew I wouldn't be safe staying among the survivors. If I did, someone might try to off me out of fear. So something else had to be done. For saving her life, Dracca told me the life-debt was paid and that I was released from the gang.

She gave me credits, food, water, clean clothes, armor, a map of nearby settlements and danger-zones, the watch from Lisa May with a new battery, and her ID card with the tracker removed. The card was still active, so it would come in handy if I come across old STEEL tech or buildings with functional security systems. For weaponry, I got to keep my pistol, but with little ammo left for my rifle, I was given a carbine rifle. So I am as ready as I'll ever be to face the desert alone once again.

Lots of little homesteads or villages nearby, but all seem to be under the thumbs of bandit gangs. I should steer clear of those.

There is one settlement called the 'Well' that I should head to. The notes on this map point to it being a peaceful settlement seeing lots of trade due to its access to clean water. If anyone is left, maybe someone might know more about the link between me, that eclipse, and STEEL. If not, it sounds like a decent place to replenish my supplies. Still, it's a very long ways away. Might be a couple of weeks.
