Made a little ref/info sheet for the character from one of my one page comics I posted earlier.
Grelza Cursebile is an undead plague mage/necromancer who specializes in creating various diseases and using them in creation of new undead. Her body is able to produce various diseases which is why she has to wear a protective suit around other people. However, she mostly does it out of pragmatic reasons, rather than genuine concern for the wellbeing of others, because she doesn't actually have a capacity for empathy (she never had it even when she was alive) and doesn't understand what makes certain things good or bad in the eyes of others. She is, however, smart enough to understand that if she were to let her plagues loose on the world, people would come to her with torches and pitchforks, which he would like to avoid. She has an agreement with villagers and townsfolk who live not far from her home, wherein she provides them with retrovirus-based gene altering treatments to make their crops and cattle more resilient, as well as various vaccines, and in return she gets access to the dead bodies of the community to use in her experiments. However, the truth is that she views the living as test subjects too - it's just that the things she tests on them are actually beneficial to them in some way, but ultimately the arrangement is purely pragmatic and merely serves to provide resources for her hobby of making undead abominations and diseases.
