Dialogues:
Vulver: What came next, was bound to happen: Our captain made himself bitter enemies. Soon a high bounty was set out on his head. And many bountyhunters tried their luck, because the crimelord, who wanted to get master Valkodlak into his clutches, promised a doubled reward, if the Shistavanen was brought before him alive. Non of those bountyhunters were ever seen again. After a while, nobody wanted to take the job anymore, even though the bounty was raised even further. - Finally somebody was brave enough to challenge Fennrer Valkodlak: Mistress Rashka Laloba. Thus the two had met each other.

Those who usually opt for the ALIVE in 'Dead or Alive' will either have top notch skills in restraining or overconfident for the higher price but not up to task. Those who always opt for DEAD either are too lazy to try for restraint in restraining or lack the patience for such effort. Those who excel in DEAD OR ALIVE either have too little or too much time on their hands (paws in this case) to prove their skills and sell their services (kinda like Kara from 'Monkey Wrench'). We'll soon see which category Rashka Laloba falls ... Perhaps we'll also see her motherly side hidden underneath her stern huntress form (like Rashka from Jungle Book).
Fun fact: in modern times, bounty hunters are expected to bring in bounties alive.
Even if they kill in self defense, they not only don’t get their money, but they risk getting blacklisted by the bail bond industry.
At least that’s how it works in America. I’m not sure about the Philippines.

Yes, indeed.
In SW we have a rather wild west mentality, where killing is more often used then anything. At least my Shistavanen only kill if there is no other way out.
About the Philippines, I don´t know, how they handle it.
Over here in Austria, it is a very rare business to hear about bountyhunting at all.

Set a thief to catch a thief or a Shistavanen to hunt a Shistavanen. Given that even Shistavanen who were urban dwellers would be well versed in hunting, tracking, survival and other wilderness skills and having strong hunting instincts, as well as Fennrer having been by this point considerably hardened, easy for the hunter to become the hunted and even unarmed a Shistavanen would be deadly in close quarters combat. Not an easy bounty by any means until Fennrer would finally meet his match in more ways than one with Rashka.
In some ways perhaps you could compare Fennrer and Rashka to lions, Fennrer with the charisma and the majesty, he is intimidating and certainly is formidable but ultimately he's the face, the one you might focus on and overlook Raksha, kindly and motherly, has the grace and beauty but she's the hunter and when the need arises, there are claws within the silken glove so to speak.
