The ANo-48 is an assault rifle produced by the Novakov Manufacturing Plant. This is, for all intents and purposes, an AK-47. Why the different designation, then? Mostly for posterity, but Novakov Manufacturing also produced this using bakelite furniture, which wasn't common yet even with Soviet firearms. This particular model utilizes standard wooden furniture, however. Since this was made to the AK technical package standards, you can treat this is one! All in all, that makes this a reliable rifle!
