Forgot to post this on Halloween lol

The Dunklen are supernatural beings from old Ascarian folklore. They are creatures that stalk the night and feast on the blood of lost travelers and other unfortunate souls. They possess the ability to seamlessly camouflage with the general population, only showing their true appearance to their victims in their final moments. Dunklen are very similar in their methods to Vampires from Human myth, the story of vampirism appears constant not just in human culture but in aliens culture across the galaxy.

Though just as with Human Vampires, Dunklen are regarded as mythological creatures. However, supposed encounters and sightings only increased as Ascarian society modernized and eventually spread across the stars. A Galaxy is an awfully big place, and a few missing citizens here and there would hardly be noticed.
Officially Dunklen do not exist, but frige scientists believe they're out there… somewhere. Like aliens.
