Night was falling again, shifts changed, it was now Tremor Max and Shadowblade taking watch by the caves once used. With everyone moved to the new part of the mountains, the two kept watch over the same. Through the night, there was just the soft whistle of the wind across stone. For a while, things were quiet between the two, then Shadow leaned back from looking down her sniper scope.

"So..." Shadowblade said "Dante got stabbed."

"Yeah, but he pulled through," Max said, "It went in, but didn't cut anything vital. Lauren could heal him pretty easily."

"Yeah, but why didn't he just let loose some fire?" Shadow said, "Our mission is to save the hides of these soldiers."

"Orders are Orders." Tremor said, "We were told to keep our powers out of sight from people outside our military." "I'm pretty are we're still failing at it." Shadowblade looked to him, "When you are in the background, you catch the things people usually miss. These militia we are fighting with, and even the POWs are taking notice now. Even without our powers we're not normal among them. So what's the point of hiding?"

"Not sure, probably above our paygrade."

"Like we get paid." Shadow chuckled and looked down the sniper rifle again, "What do you think Soldiers do with money? We don't usually need it because we get what we need. You and I got custom made guns no one will ever find."

"Well, Mostly." Tremor said, "I recall hearing about this one ball, I think Harley or Dante got a hold of it. Had a whole game around it, and it was pretty fun to play together. I'd like something like that for myself. So I could do that again when I wanted."

"Uhuh... Think we could get that?" Shadow asked, "If we talked with Dante or one of the other soldiers, do you think we could get one. Or..."

"Or what?" Tremor looked to her this time, "What else have you seen while invisible?"

"I'll tell you another time," Shadowblade said, "For now, grab your machine gun, I see something."

Tremor set his gun on his lap and brought up his binoculars. Looking down, they saw a hand full of people climbing their way up, guns in hands, looking all around.

"That's why we're here." Tremor said, "I'll draw their fire, you try to flank them."

"This is gonna be fun." Shadowblade smiled before she faded from all sight.
