I don't think I've ever shared this online, but a long time ago, I had a story about a farmer's pig who is slated to be slaughtered and runs away from home. However, in doing so, he becomes trapped in a world of spirits and goes through your standard 'coming of age' story. Now, take that concept, and combine it with a newfound appreciation for Studio Ghibli and you get a character who is basically my analogue to Chihiro from Spirited Away.

Ladies, gentlemen, and every one in-between and out in space, I present... MR. BUTOI! Yes, it's a portmanteau of "buta" and "futoi". What of it? Anyways, like the upper description implies, Butoi is a portly boar who stumbles into another world, taking the form of an anthropomorphic boar with a golden tusk. Just why has he ended up in this strange new world? What will he gain? What will he lose? Can he face the cruel fate of one who is deemed livestock... or will he find new life at the end of his journey?

So now I have two Ghibli inspired OCs! Wonder which film I'll emulate next?
