It was a chilly November evening, Todd Baker and Darlene Kuscheln were cuddling on the couch under a soft, fuzzy blanket watching a cheesy old movie. The pair sharing a bowl of popcorn.
The doggy duo had planned on tying the knot when Darlene's fur grew back.
When the protagonists of the film locked lips, Darlene got Todd's attention and stole a kiss from the corgi's lips.
Todd: "Mmm, someone is in a good mood tonight." He said with a smile while resting one hand on her waist, the other on her cheek.
Darlene: "Es ist leicht, mit dir glücklich zu sein, Liebling."
Todd: "So, would you like to do anything tonight my Doberman darling?"
Darlene: "Well, I was thinking we could just stay in, and talk..."
Todd: "Sure thing, anything specific on your mind?"
Darlene: "Well, there is one thing that's been gnawing at me. Why me?"
Todd: "Huh? What do you mean?"
Darlene: "Todd, let's be real for a minute. I know for a fact, you are sort of a.. to be blunt a 'chubby-chaser'. So why would you be so interested in a skinny woman like me?" She chuckled before saying: "You weren't planning on fattening me up were you?"
Todd: "I, uh I hadn't planned on doing that! Unless you wanted to. I just love you. I don't know how else to explain it. I just genuinely love and care about you Darlene."
She then held him tightly.
Darlene: "Todd..." She then rested her head on his shoulder. "You know us Dobermans are really prone to a heart condition, right?"
Todd: "Well, yeah... I I do." He said thinking the worst since she brought it up.
Darlene: "Just so long as you know what you are getting into with me. That one morning I might not-"
Todd: "None of us are promised tomorrow Darlene. We just have to enjoy the time we have together, and make preparations for the hereafter." He said with a warm, yet sad smile.

Darlene: "Todd, you know how President Wheeler legalized multiple partners if you are wealthy?"
Todd: "Yeah? Why, did you have a pretty girl you wanted to bring in darling?" He said wanting to make sure his Doberman darling was happy. She shook her head lightly.
Darlene: "None that I know of at the moment, but I want you to get a few more partners. I only ask that at least one or two are herbivores."
He tilted his head to try and process what he just heard. Did Darlene actually want him to bring more people in, or was she testing his loyalty? And why did she specify herbivores?
Darlene: "Todd? You good? You kind of just zoned out."
Todd: "Yeah, yeah I'm good. Why do you want me to do that?"
She pulled out of the embrace but didn't let go yet.
Darlene: "So you won't be lonely in case something happens to me."
Todd: "Just curious, any particular reason for herbivores?"
Darlene: "Well, I know you can handle large carnivores... But a gentle guy like you needs someone gentle around."
