Through the rest of the night and on into sunrise, they worked to move soldiers to a new location. While soldiers moved as many as they could, it was often the super weapons both leading and actively carrying the wounded to this new location.
Sue Dan Blitz had found a location, and spend her time taking the materials for tents and whatever structures they could set up. By the time the first group of soldiers made it over, She had just under half of everything built for them. Tents to house the wounded, and a she was still going. Meanwhile, Tremor Max, Deathless Laceter, Frostfight, Tessa Coils, and Circuit Grit were carrying both injured men and equipment without a second spent resting. Only times they would ever slow down was to keep watch while soldiers either needed a moment or had to be carried.
The soldiers watched them once and a while, but they kept more to their mission. But the others, the allied soldiers of the region, the POWs that were being transported, they were watching these special forces that arrived newly. The ones in charge were keeping the POWs separate and quiet, but the soldiers were still a bit talkative.
"How do they keep up like this?" one of the militia asked a soldier, "It was likely we were going to die down there, yet they managed to clear the way without anyone else dying."
"You're guess is as good as mine." The soldier said, "We were kept back like you were."
"You make it sound like you have never worked with them before."
"Oh no, I have worked before with one of them." The soldier looked up to the spotted wolfess with a sleek tail, "Don't underestimate what they can do."
"But how?" The soldier asked, "They barely rest, keep moving more than others, and even take to medical practices as painful as our own as if it was nothing."
The soldier was quiet about that and just kept marching with the group.
"What are you not telling me?" The militant asked, "Your people may allow men and women to fight, but you all act rather different around these soldiers that are far better than you."
"That is something I can't discuss." the soldier said, "Just know they work for us, and will do whatever it takes to complete the mission."
The militant looked at him rather indignant, "Why must there be so many secrets?" But the soldier didn't speak much more to him. So, the militant started to run and try catchign up with the closest weapon he could, but the time he reached them, they were at the new camp.. what takes maybe a few days to set up for all of them, was set up completely by first rays of sunlight. Like the others, this foreign Militant was baffled and awestruck. He started to go up to some of the new soldiers that came, "How long did this take you? how could you keep this up with little food or water, or even rest?"
"This is what we're meant for." the wolfess said back and moved on,
"What are you?" the militant shouted,
"I'm a wolf, can't you tell?" she said with a smile and kept walking.
This militant just stared, annoyed and confused. There had to be something more to them, but it was never explained. How could they really be just soldiers?
