Spent the afternoon reading the comic "Lenore the cute little dead girl" by Roman Dirge for inspiration. I've known about it by association through Jhonen Vasquez's works, and since Jhonen was one of my biggest stylistic influences during my teenage years I thought I'd give his friend's comic a read for inspiration since I'm trying to channel a similar vibe in a current project idea.
For the most part the humor in the comic itself hasn't really been my thing, although it has given me a few good chuckles here and there. It's been fun to watch the evolution of Roman's art style throughout the issues, and I do like the designs of the main characters, which is why I ended up drawing them.
