Tugrik issued me a challenge, especially since he's an almighty wizard on FM.

He said "I DARE you to MLP me!" Or something in that effect...he also may have hinted eating me if I didn't.

I ALMOST had Tug the colors of Big Macintosh, but with his rhino-esqe horn, folks might not grasp who I was parodying.

Plus Tug's Cutie mark had to be thought over, plus a fox limb instead of a stalk of grass.

You get the picture.....I hope.

I don't know enough about the originals to even know the difference, though I can't say I've seen any of the new ones either.

After you're past the pilot episodes, I will all make sense. Essentially the ponies aren't perfect, far from it actually. The show is intelligently written, and not dumbed down to a Dora level like so many shows these days. You can identify with some of the characters, and it doesn't make you feel like a little kid. Overall, its just fun.

The original series(from my view anyhow) was a gimick like He-Ma and She-Ra that were all about running a 22-minute toy commercial. This new series, while it is supporting a toy line, it stands apart from said toys and can be enjoyed on its own. And by enjoy I mean become addicted. The funny part is, everyone gets hooked for different reasons.

Well KotH is sort of big, and its rather odd that its reruns have been going strong on Adult Swim for a long time now. At the same time, its geared entirely for adults, and has no corresponding toy line. But unlike other titles featuring on AS, MLP:FiM is written well, and the animation flows absolutely seamlessly. In essence, its made for a very broad audience, and doesn't count on the lowered level of society(please see references Squidbillies and Tim & Eric).

Its a good show, give it a try, you can watch the whole thing on YouTube. I can say with an 85% certainty that your balls won't shrivel up just because you gave it a chance. I can't account for the other 15% because you live in Ohio, and your state has a funny way of making up its own laws, but then again New Orleans is like that too. Same goes for Utah.

And if they're "certified", a police officer can give you a speeding ticket if he 'thinks' that you're going over the speed limit. And yes, it holds up in court.

Heh. Go ahead and do your worst. I've avoided the MLP craze in its entirety. I haven't seen a single ep. I can resist it! God help me if they put a roo in there though.
