Did you boil the hair once it was in curlers? That makes a tighter curl.

I didn't use a curling iron since I don't have one. I basically just washed and conditioned the hair, curled it around drinking straws and held it in place with elastics, then ran hot tap water over it and let it dry. Boiling water and me usually don't end well.

I also use the drinking straw method...but by dipping it in actually boiling water (just a couple of quick dips) it actually resets the plastic hair into the curled position. Otherwise as you see here...the curls fall out. Which is great for a "fluttershy" style hair, but not as good for Rarity. YOu will really need to make them tight and use boiling water if you are going to do Pinkie.

Yeah, I don't trust my abilities nearly enough to do Pinkie, unless I was just doing her Pinkamena hairstyle.

LOL oh give it a try! They are only 5 bucks, worse case senerio you just have to scrap it, sell it as custom bait and try again! Go for it! :)
