"I'm here, What's the update?" Dante asked, eyes shifting between the horizon and the slope done the mountain. "So far things are clear on this end, how is the cave looking?"

"We can't stay here, the cave would collapse from far less than that," Foresight said over the comms, "And we might be worse of trying to dig people out again. we'll need somewhere else to keep them."

"We could take them to the other side of this mountain," Firefight said, "It'd be a shorter distance than from down below."

"That's still gonna take a lot of work" Foresight said, "Do we have somewhere over there we can even keep them safe at?"

"Hey!" A shout burst through the comms, "I overheard Foresight, what if I went scouting ahead and picked out a spot."

"Well, you heard the wolfess." Foresight said, "Wanna head her there alone?"

"Negative, not with her injury." Firefight said "Take Shadowblade with you." "You got it sir." Sue said, and turned off her comms

`"Foresight, you'll be up here with me." Firefight continued, "I'm gonna have Laceter and Max join the efforts to move the troops."

"Understood."




Foresight came up beside the coyote, and the other two super weapons passed her as she joined Dante on the watch. Watching in the dark for... anything,

"I get the feeling we'll be up all night doing this.." Foresight said

"Yep." Was Firefight's answer

"Training for this stuff is starting to pay off."

"Yep..."

"Do you think. Soldiers had to train in something similar? A week without sleeping?"

"If I recall they only have to do so for a few days."

"Why is that? Why do you think that is?" Foresight looked to Firefight, "Everyone seems to be more intense on us than Soldiers. Even though we're suppose to be better and replace them."

"Better is a title, we work to become the best." Firefight said, "Trained since childhood to become the best."

"What do we get for it though?"

"What does it matter?" Firefight said, as he continued Foresight started looking down, "We are made to fight wars in place of soldiers, we do it to our death, then we are replaced and forgotten. What does it matter if we don't get something for it?"

"Sounds like the stuff Circuit Grit talks about." Foresight said with a sigh

"This is what we were trained for." Firefight let out a hard sigh, "She definitely sticks to it more than us. A real weapon, that one is... Doesn't really seem like much more."

"Why not be more than that though?" Foresight asked, however, Firefight didn't give an answer, his lip just firmed up and looked through the sights of his grenade launcher. She took the hint and just sat there, keeping watch beside him. "Maybe some day... Maybe some day..."
