I had NO IDEA that you play guitar! I'm not familiar with the source material, but this is a very soft, very relaxing tune to hear! It reminds me of something I've heard from the PS2 game "Unlimited SaGa" (it's a part of the whole "Romancing SaGa/SaGa Frontier" series).

Oh, I've never played Unlimited Saga but I have the whole OST on my iPod! I found it while looking at tge discography of Masashi Hamauzu, one of my fav composers ever. I love it, it has some astounding pieces in there <3 Now that ypu mention it, this has a similar tone and rythmn to Vent's theme =D

But yeah, it reminds me of a tune that you hear at a certain point. I can't remember which character's story I heard it in, but it was a pretty depressing thing. Very nicely done, but one of those tunes that wouldn't exactly put a pleasant smile on your face. Very melancholy though.

And Masashi Hamauzu is awesome. I think it just rocks in general that HE did the OST for FF13 instead of Uematsu or Sakimoto again. Really wonderful pieces in that game.
