A sketch of an anthropomorphic raptor I made a few years ago. This race of raptor people, known as the Ti'fan, are hollow boned carnivorous predators who tend to be stubborn and prideful. They can run up to 30mph and jump up to 2m into the air. They reach up to 8ft tall when standing upright, but in their comfortable standing position they are only slightly taller than humans. They are mostly covered in human skin, but many parts of their bodies are covered in scales or feathers, most notably the legs, arms, and tail. In addition, they grow thick hair on their head and face. They have a heightened sense of hearing and smell, but are otherwise on par with humans. At first glance, it may appear that they have horns, but they are in fact, actually antlers. The antlers on their head are grown entirely using mana from the atmosphere and serve no purpose but to show off one's sensitivity to magic. These antlers typically take decades of growing before they form branches, and are never shed. Elders and magically gifted individuals have the largest antlers.
Ti'fan culture has developed around the idea of unrestricted progress and pride. Morality is of little concern to scientists and rulers, and most people of the upper class pursue science or art. Ti'fan art is extremely varied and often innovative, as every artist takes pride in having a unique, recognizable style to the point of actively avoiding being derivative. Ti'fan are considered to be masters of alchemical and biological sciences. In a world where technology is on-par with early 20th century earth, they have already learned how to regrow limbs and create artificial intelligence, as they are never afraid of experimentation, even doing so on themselves. Accomplished scientists often graft limbs or make visible modifications to their body to show off their abilities. However, nobody, ever, dares to artificially enhance antler growth (it is heavily frowned upon).
