Aika is a shy woman who enjoys art and music. However, she was gifted with powers beyond the average for her people. In the world she lives in, the number of tails a kitsune has is determined at birth, and they grow as they age. The number of tails one has is seen as a blessing by the gods, and determines your rank in society. Eight-tailed kitsune like Aika are worshipped as demi-gods because of how rare and powerful they are, but Aika only wishes to be left alone in solitude.
The image above is when she only had four tails (because drawing eight is pain >w<, might draw an eight-tailed version later). The average for the time period she was in is three.
Lore note: Nine-tails do not exist in recorded history, and are only known in ancient mythology. As time progresses, the average number of tails a kitsune has has greatly diminished. Aika was one of the last eight-tailed kitsune. Chie, a three-tailed kitsune who lives hundreds of years later, is one of the most powerful of her time, where anything above a five is considered impossible.
