Hee-Ho, howdy everyone. Today I bring you an illustration of Jojo (The Red Goddess of the Council of Chaos) versus Thomza Materia in their more humanoid form. Out of resources, out of time to put an actual stop to her from taking over his universe. This of course being around the "Council of Chaos" story arc of Skin to Scales, and it's wild to me that I haven't been able to give her an illustration until right now.
A quick summary though for those "not in the know" about this arc and the setting. Several months after the War Against the Stars, a war that left the Realm of Materia in almost a state of ruin the Council of Chaos finally set its sights on Materia and the entirety of Cycle 10. The Council of Chaos is a group of gods based on multiple "colors" and claim to be the protectors of the grand multiverse and all those who live in it. With the Pillar's universe being noticed, the Council of Chaos stepped in for who would properly rule over it and for it to be under their protection.
Thomza, not wishing for his universe to be ruled by gods after already going to war against the False Stars, decided to step up to the plate once again. However, all of the realms remaining soldiers and heroes have been exhausted as they've lost many of their champions already. Although unlike most of his battle against deities, he failed against Jojo, the Goddess of Warfare and Glory. That with his defeat, Thomza's universe he fought countless cycles to protect was now under her control in full. With her new reign, many new tournaments and arenas were erected for the glory of combat. (As well as many new cathedrals dedicated to her.) However, to Thomza's surprise it wasn't a complete hostile takeover.
If Thomza and the Pillars wish to continue to keep their universe and for it to be under their control still and simply have her "protection" then they need to commit to her will. This includes going to battle against multiple enemies of the Council of the Chaos or even infighting with the members of it. For Jojo's realm is the "doorway" to Thomza's realm and if he wants to keep it safe, Thomza, the pillars and the Champions of Materia msut do exactly as she says. With that all being said and done, Thomza has new motives. Not just to protect his universe, but to eventually destroy the entirety of the Council of Chaos and dissolve it so the multiverse may be free from what he claims are tyrannical gods.
...This illustration of course depicting his final stand against her before he inevitably loses against her
Until next time! Thanks for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense. Reminder, despite using the term "Tiamat", it has nothing to do with Dungeons and Dragons and is more or less talking about the real mythological variant of the serpent.
Fun Factoid 1: Thomza upon losing against Jojo was forcefully wed to them. Becoming her strongest champion of her realm and was granted many different immunities to various laws put in place by the Council of Chaos so they may enact multiple deeds for her...
Proto was strangely the only one fully happy about this.
Fun Factoid 2: Jojo goes by many names, such as "Jormungandr", but has no relation to the World Serpent.
