While the crew of the Stellar Typhoon like to work hard, they like to play hard even more - and they especially love to party hard. Nowhere is this more obvious than when they celebrate Jaws MacTaggart's birthday - which, as revealed in SPCM 5, is on October 9th. Such a bash always requires a bit of recovery time afterwards, and some crew members often need more time than others...
I'm not surprised Jaws feels like she's slept for months, because this piece was in fact drawn about three months after last week's one. That was drawn as I was finishing up SPCM 5 at the end of May, whereas this was drawn just as I was beginning the rough draft of SPCM 6 at the start of September. Of course, the old 'draw in bulk and dripfeed' routine allows me to compress those three months into a single week for your benefit.
