Kit's fractured psyche was akin to a broken mirror and it was one through which his phantasm, his nightmare, gazed back into the waking world with cruel eyes.

For Spooky Month, my next coloring and shading practice was on a sketch from Kitfox showing Kit's Nightmare self. I wanted to make it surreal and menacing. I'm very happy with it even though I'm pretty sure I screwed the teeth up. The shading was done to try and give the misty swirls some dimension without making them too tangible and I love the eye effect. Originally the eyes glowed red but I think it's better being more subtle and smoky.
