This was an interesting one. Normally when I do landscapes I tend to do the scenery being a fair distance away so I don't have to do much in the way of actual detail xD The ref I was given had most of the visual details quite close to the viewer so I couldn't just fake it like I usually do.
Had some trouble with a few parts, and the way I did it makes it look less realistic and more "Alice in Wonderland", but you know, I think I'm okay with that. It's certainly not perfect, but I think overall it came out okay, and I hope he likes it.

Replace the pool with an iPod, and that's basically how I was for the past week. I'm stuck in my room alone all night...every night. Until I get home, at least. Sigh =\

I do like the background, it is oddly "dreamlike". And the way the character is staring into the water as though lost in thought. Lends an interesting emotion to the whole piece!
