mmm... I don't think they'd look that great resized to 100x100.

Yea, I suppose sized it be kinda pushing it... Maybe if it was resized so that the edges of the pokeball were 100x100? Rather than the edge of the original image.

What if the top was slightly more transparent, and only their face was visible, squished up against the cap like it's cramped inside? Or maybe a closed pokeball that flips open to reveal who's inside?

I can't animate to save my life! xD (which sucks, because I aspire to be an animator some day)

and perhaps that could be a good idea, eventually. For now, I'll just focus on doing the work I have left :P

Well you could start with just the open and closed positions, then draw a half-open one, then more increments between to smooth it out for practice. I think that's how tweening works. You should give it a try, if you get the chance. I think you could do it. ^^
