Gonna be uploading my maps in alphabetical order, so first up we have Avarus!

Avarus sprung up around the area where the veil between the Dreamlands and the Material Plane was weak. It was originally built by the first Elves to set foot in this realm, seeking a new life outside the Dreamlands and away from the overbearing watch of certain gods.
Many stories are shared of the strange quirks and mysteries of the city by travellers, leading to eager visitors wanting to see the wondrous place, but few stay for long. Due to this the residential population largely consists of Elves with Humans as a close second, though people from all over the world can be found here, even if just passing through.
There is a relatively even split in the opinion on the gods within the city, which sees both devout followers of various domains as well as those who feel that gods are merely another part of this world that is meant to be studied and not just blindly followed or accepted.

Located just within a great forest, Avarus has an aura of liminality with it's history of exploring the Dreamlands and a fair share of travellers passing through on the way to the port town of Tarilyle. It is well known for the research into the Dreamlands and related magical mysteries as well as housing a renowned Hunter's Guild.
Most people, even outside of Avarus, are also familiar with the wide availability of free lodging within the Tea Houses of the city. This further encourages curious tourists and passing travellers to visit the city despite the dangers of the forest surrounding it.
Though not as widely talked about as it's leading research into the esoteric arcane, Avarus is also responsible for the biggest breakthroughs in researching the natural world thanks to the Hunter's Guild.
