Its to small to fall trough, its smaller than the width of the floor planks so 20 cm max I say.
https://www.valsalia.com/comic/prologue/16/ hole seen at the start.
No glowing however. Suspect the crystal somehow regrew, none saw this as the hole was just patched over.

"What is THAT?!"
- "It zha a Hole"
"Yeh I can see that; what's it doing there?"
- "Well I was transformed by glowing zing... then there was a hole."
Funny aside; I am VERY EXCITED to see where this goes! Poor Kass.. too much BODILY science can be very disruptive... Always feels weird having your organs described..
Edit: Darn no one had mentioned the hole when I started writing this comment and then re-read page 16 to confirm! Sorry for adding unto the "hole pile"! ;w;

Ola OOPsers! I'm here to remind you yet again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at about 1150 votes and 59th place. It's currently at 575 votes and 62nd place. The highest it's reached is 36th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

You know, I kinda feel bad for ran here. The look om his face it really seems like Kass really took the wind off his sails. Have you ever been super interested in something that you are eagerly eagerly explaining it. But the person your talking to really doesn't share that enthusiasm that you can tell that you've made their day worse.
Brief recap on the facts related to "the Anomaly."
1. It was in a dormant crystalline state
2. It suddenly changes to a fluid that is transformative/mutagenic
3. It causes an acidic breakdown of wood and stone material
4. It is still persisting in its fluid state after an extended period of time

I had to go back and check to see if that was something like "zat zing" that made him that way also put a hole in the floor making it a deep callback, but it looks like it was totally used up when it was activated. the hole seems intriguing in any-case, I wonder if it's a one off gag or an actual plot point where kass is the perfect candidate to explore it due to their diminutive size 🤔
Since the last panel is showing The Hole on the night That Thing changed Kass into a yinglet, which was weeks ago in-story, I have a feeling the next update is gonna be a progression of The Hole getting bigger or deeper (or weirder,) and the response to it by House Ivenmoth and Ran.
Ran looks genuinely sad after trying to share something he is incredibly interested in aka anything scientific but Kass just doesnt share the same enthusiasm Ran obviously genuinely just wants to share the stuff he finds interesting and i can tell he sees Kass more as a fellow researcher than just a study subject ... he really needs to discover Lippie see that is how Lippielin gets made...
Gonna have to save the whole Hole discussion for a whole other day. ;)
The left twin mentions anatomy and immediately follows that up with a question about "The Hole", which naturally led me to beleive it related to the topic. Just gonna go ahead and guess not. Not unless something is alive in that anomlous hole. Like a facehugger yinglet. No not Zally.
But if that last panel is of the hole the night Kass was transformed, what has occurred since then? Supposedly there was nothing left except for some barnacle bits as said on page #16 of the prologue. Unfortunately, I have no clue what might be at the bottm of that hole, but I am very intrigued.
