My entry for Round 3 of  worldcraft

This creature is among the faster ones on the planet.
Although the tentacles on it's head seem like decration, they are part of this creature's nervous system, designed to deceted anything around it.
Depspite being such a vital part of it's body, these can be shed (when attacked) and regrown easily. It costs time and energy to restore them, but once regrown they'll quickly resume their purpose.

It's main attribute is the speed at which it can maneuver through the water. The serpintine design along with strong fins allows it to swim close to the surface in most weather conditions.
Where as normal fish or critters have a hard time during storm, this one would dance between and through the waves, watching whatever prey it has set it's eyes on.
