exequias and balitiger23Welcome to Worldcraft!
This account will feature contests in which we explore all kind of different planets and populate them with the most crazy creatures and plant life.
All we do is give a planet, it's up to you all to invent it's inhabitants.
Despite calling it a contest this is really all about having fun, so please keep that in mind.
How does it work:
Every contest will begin on a new planet. These planets could be anything; from tropical places or barren wastelands to planets fully submerged in water.
Once a planet is given, you will find different topics to choose from.
These could be:
- Creatures (land, airborne,...)
- Vermin (typical bugs, rodents,...)
- Invertebrates (crustaceans, mollusks,...)
- Environment (plant life, landscapes,...)
Each topic can have several different choices available for picking!
Besides the quality of the art, you will also be judged at how well your creations fits the given description.
You will also be judged by the information you supply. For each submission, you'll have to write a little text explaining your creation.

Hello everyone,
It seems that Worldcraft has come to a grinding halt in the past few months. We started off very good, but after a few rounds, numbers started to dwindle. We can't keep running the rounds just for ourselves, so in order to refresh everything and start over we're taking a break.
With the holidays ahead, we decided to pause and re-work Worldcraft from the ground up.
This time around we'll stick to what we had in mind in the first place. A competition that adheres to a certain set of rules. A challenge that makes you think and not just fantasize about the aspects. Harsh worlds that require thought and insight if you want to have your creature survive.
With that in mind, we hope that the future relaunch of WorldCraft manages to draw in new people and makes it interesting again for our old members.
Due to several reasons (mostly real life related) we don't know when exactly we'll be able to relaunch the contest. We estimate it will be in the first quarter of 2012, so just keep an eye out of the word "worldcraft" in your inbox.
We hope to see you all back soon and, of course, happy holidays from all of us at Worldcraft.
